circa 1880, with octagonal re-plated (possibly silver) barrel, engraved band and scrolls to muzzle, further scroll engraving to the sides of breech and the left and right top-flats, crescent fore-sight, border engraved top-strap and sighting groove, plain cylinder with engraved band to front edge and scroll engraving around the centre, full borderline and scroll engraved frame, swing-out 'short pear' shaped ejector, finely chequered walnut butt and guarded trigger
